RE: INTRODUCTION OF KAANA FOUNDATION FOR OUTREACH PROGRAMS


Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs (KAFOP) is a non profit making organization founded in 2007 by a group of women and men social workers in the Rwenzori Region of Western Uganda. The Organization was set up in response to the issues that affect the community more specifically children, women and the Youth in the Rwenzori region. 

Our vision; Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs vision is to have a community where all people live a safe, free and dignified life.

Our Mission; Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs' mission is to enlighten and empower communities to promote, protect and advocate for the Rights, Health and Well-being of the most vulnerable people through; Human Rights awareness, Good Governance and well-being for continued social- economic development.

Organizations objectives;   
  1.  To promote and advocate for the rights, health and well-being of the most vulnerable persons mostly; women, children and the youth.  
  2. To strengthen the communities’ capacity to safe guard mothers and the children against violence in the families 
  3. To empower disadvantaged women, adolescent mothers and the youth with information and knowledge about entrepreneur skill that will enable them generate income. 
  4. To sensitize the communities about protecting and safe guarding the environment. 
  5. To promote Democracy and Good governance and enhance wider understanding of political pluralism and rights among the community 
  6. To advocate for the promotion of reproductive health and rights among the young people and improved access to quality health services in the rural communities
Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs operates in Western Uganda - Rwenzori region.The organization was born in response to the issues affecting the community, specifically Women, children and the Youth in the society,
